Ever since my son could talk, he's called our yellow lab, Sidney, 'Nee-nee'. The name stuck and she now responds to it as if it were her real name. Nee-nee loves our kids. She puts up with everything, from ear pulling to being our son's pillow, she just doesn't seem to mind all that much. Here she is hanging out with our boys: This week, our son started a new bedtime routine. When he's being tucked into bed, he now insists that Nee-nee get up on his toddler bed. Why? So he can give her a hug and a kiss. He always tells her "see you when you wake up" as if she's going to bed that very moment, too. It's too cute. She then gets up on his bed, let's him love on her, then gets right back down like a good girl. Something tells me our Nee-nee is going to be sleeping in my son's room sooner than later. |
