Messages in Ear infections
So our black lab, Morgan, gets chronic ear infections. After going to the vet time after time to get a 'tri-otic' for $30 a tube to treat his yeast ear infection, I decided to do some investigating. I have a friend that is a vet. Her practice is out of the way, so we don't go to her, but I trust her. I called, rather frustrated about Morgan's latest ear infection and asked for some advice. She gave me the best advice ever to clear up yeast ear infections - Lotriman AF. Clears it up right away. She said that the yeast just gets out of control and it's a fungal issue. Also, the ear wash (that we were also purchasing for $20 a bottle) was de-activating the tri-otic medicine!!! I've been waiting to try this out, and not surprisingly, Morgan came down with another ear infection today. Before I try it, has anyone ever heard of this before? I'd like some input from others first.

Thanks!
Jen

Jen,

I've not heard of that before, but it makes perfect sense. Thanks for posting the tip!!! Lotrimin AF is a great tool for defeating fungus, so it makes sense that it would work in a dogs' ear just as well as a stinky foot!
